Questions 10 - 16 'Making Connections...'

10. JC: Is it true that you are really into the paranormal?

SW: What do you mean by that?

JC: This person is asking about psychic experiences. Telepathy, telekinesis etc have you ever experienced any of these things yourself?

SW: Yes. I have. I had one extraordinary happening. These kind of things… you may feel very disappointed when I say that you probably have as well. We're all capable of it. How many times have you heard the telephone ring and you know who's on the other end? To me that is the beginning of something switching on and you can train those faculties… Sometimes when I'm in the car I try to guess the details of other's number plates as an exercise. Guessing is the first step towards building that frequency.

One experience I had was twenty five years ago. I had heard about the Template Foundation but it didn't really grab me at the time. About three months later I had a dream. I didn't know any people in the dream… there was a look in their eyes and a feeling of safety… when I woke up I felt like I had been healed during the night. I thought if I could have one thing in my life it would be like that dream. Having a few people that I could feel that safe with. There would be no judgement, just knowing where you are in life. I thought to myself that if I could only have that feeling for real before I die I'd have achieved something. I just knew that it was all connected with the Template Foundation.

That morning I got up and went to the man who had mentioned it to me but he didn't work where he used to. I went up and down the road where he lived. By lunch time I was looking in magazines but couldn't find anything to do with the foundation. So I thought I'd take myself off to Hampstead Heath for a walk. I wasn't interested in walking in those days. I was far too interested in make up and how we looked; but I went to the heath with this pink hat on and boots and it was a freezing cold winters day. I decided not to come home until I had thought of some way to contact the Template Foundation. I vowed to stay the night if I had to, in those days it was much safer than it is today.

I was just about to sit down when a voice behind me said "Sammie' is that you?" I turned around and there was Brian. I said "Did you know I was going to be here I've been looking for you all day?" And he said no. He then took me along and there was something there at the meeting that I wanted. Something that I couldm't explain for years and years.

Now I realise it has about it the same frequency that I had in my dream. Firstly I find it extraordinary that something caused me to have a dream like that. Before that time such feelings couldn't really get in as my mind was closed. Secondly I just know I was being guided towards it. It was just oozing out of me. The thing is that we just don't know when we're switched on. Sometimes you think you are and your not and sometimes you are and don't know it!

That is one example… I know there is a difference between being telepathic and clairvoyant but I don't think I can explain what it is… I think that I probably have four or five clairvoyant experiences a week but I don't think that it is anything special. I think everyone has them but doesn't realise it.

It's funny that it is named the paranormal but in fact it is normal! Abnormality is the way that we live today.

11. JC: If you could pick just one of the TP's powers--jaunting, telepathy, or telekinesis, or time travel--which would you pick and why?

SW: Telepathy because I think that could be more useful to the human race. I truly believe that millions of years ago when humans first developed they were more see through… not as coarse and physical as they are today. Just like our auras are. When they met one another they couldn't talk, they didn't need to talk or to be so fleshy... They could deal with each other just by looking and feeling. That kind of telepathy can't have any deception.

12. JC: Do you think that there should have been more female Tomorrow People?

SW: Yes. I do because the females could have shown the line of encouragement and strength. Those kinds of qualities. Not the silly female or the type that tries to be like a man but a true female.

13. JC: Have you read any fan fiction? If so, what?

SW: No. I didn't know they existed.

JC: They often cross other shows with it. Like the Brady Bunch, which was very funny, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Some stories go back to the 70's some move the characters on into modern day settings.

SW: So they write all sorts of things. Some stories just about Carol? Stories just for each other to read?

JC: Yes.

SW: It's all very inspirational. I'm not on the Internet. I don't have a computer. I've been busy for years with my catering business and my aroma therapy. This is why, now, I want to encompass more but I just don't feel like I've got arms wide enough to do everything!

14. JC: What was your favourite story line?

SW: The first one is the one I remember mostly. I think that I had the most to do in that. Like when I was saying to Kenny ' roll up roll up see us all in a zoo!' Even with some of my personal experiences I find it difficult to discuss them openly. People don't understand and sometimes don't accept the truth. This was the same for the Tomorrow People. They wouldn't be accepted so had to remain hidden

15. JC: Did you ever imagine that all these years later people would still be interested in the show?

SW: No. Not for one second. If people had said that to me back then I may have said yes why not. But in fact I wouldn't have believed it at all… I just didn't think of it like that.

Do you think most of the fans believe in psychic experiences?

JC: On our discussion list a lot do. I'm a member of the Society for Psychical Research and know that there is a lot of proper scientific research that has proved the existence of telepathy, remote viewing, Ganzfeld etc. But whenever someone comes into the open and says to the mainstream academic community. 'Look it does exist' then they wont accept it.

SW: In the template network we have scientists as well. There is a great deal of evidence and belief going hand in hand.

16. JC: Have you heard about the new TP stories on CD? What are your thoughts on the TP being dramatised after all this time and if, you were asked, would you get take part in them?

SW: I think it would be absolutely outrageous and brilliant to take part. Outrageous because it has been such a long time, but brilliant because there is something in the Tomorrow People that had a permanent truth in it and things with permanent truth can never die!
