| 13. How much of Tricia's character
came from you?
AC: I think it was all Roger. It was certainly very strange seeing the episodes recently. I couldn't believe how young I looked. It was extraordinary. It was quite a difficult time of my life, as I was separating from my husband. I think this is why I don't recall things as vividly as I should. 14. How old were you at the time? AC: About 30 maybe a little younger. JC: You were playing someone who was meant to be much younger. AC: I always looked younger than my real age. 15. After being portrayed as essentially the villain in Secret Weapon how did you feel about the turn around at the end of Revenge of Jedikiah? AC: I don't know. I can't remember. It's awful. JC: It's ok. The final very powerful scene of Secret Weapon there is a close up of your face. Did you find it difficult to do? AC: I can't remember it at all. (I then embarrassed myself by talking her through John's speech word for word. I was giggling to myself that she must think I'm a completely sad anorak to be able to quote lines of dialogue so well. LOL) AC: Really a big close up? That's wonderful. I must have a look at that! Now, talking of Col. Masters He makes one of the best pantomime dames in the business. He's a lovely actor. I think I said that on the DVD commentary. AC: I must say, I found it very, very, strange. I was quite shocked and think it would be a lot kinder if they played it for me to have a look and then asked me to comment. Nick and Peter have done so many, they're like a double act. I was it was a huge shock. Particularly seeing ones self at such a young age. It was thirty years ago and quite frightening actually. AC: Peter and Nick were like kids, naughty boys. JC: The fans love it as they are so funny but they do have to occasionally bleep Peter (Both laugh) 16. If Big Finish approached you to perform in an audio CD would you? AC: I don't know . If I was free maybe. There's no reason why not. 17. If you had the opportunity to break out and really become a Tomorrow Person. Would you choose to do so? AC: That's a difficult question. Hmmm To have the special powers would be wonderful. Who knows what I could do. I could jaunt all over the place. A quick trip to Australia when my family go there. That would be brilliant because I commute at the moment. I commute up to Oxford Street every day so I could save all that time. 18. What did you think of the political overtones to the show? Were you aware of the politics, anti-war and anti-establishment. AC: That was fine. I don't have any strong feelings about that. No. 19. What was it like working on the Soap that you did afterwards? AC: Initially that was another very happy time. It was working at Thames again. The series didn't in fact work and was cancelled after the first batch of episodes. After that I went with my husband I was married to Roger Walker who was part of the 'Rainbow' team and we bought a VW buss and took my son and daughter across Europe to Istanbul for six weeks. Which was just amazing, it was an extended holiday. When I came back I started looking for acting work all over again. 20. Did you ever imagine that all these years later people would still be interested in the show? AC: No, not at all. I remember about ten years ago, when I was agenting I received a letter from a fan in America. He included in the letter a computerised photograph of me, Tricia. I think he was quite young. I remember one of the girls in my office asked me if I used to act. And I said that I did. She said let's try to find you on the Internet. She did! It was extraordinary I said that I worked with Ian McKellen once who of course is now in Lord of the Rings We looked up on his web site and went right back to 1965 when we were both working at Coventry and low and behold there was a photo of the pair of us. You don't know what you could fine But I've never actually chosen to look. |
