Castle of Fear

I must confess that the latter stories did not hold my attention as much as the earlier series, but upon reflection this story has a great deal to offer. Not only are we introduced to a new and much younger TP, but he reveals yet more uses of their powers.

Andrew's father also reacts like most usual parents, fearful of what his son has become, until he understands.

This story also brings everyday life back into the Tomorrow People's world. We see TP's interacting with members of the scientific community as well as everyday people.

The most unfortunate part of this story, and in fact this whole season, is Hsui Tai's appalling accent. The Tomorrow People may be able to use telepathy to interpret what she says but, unfortunately, this is a gift most of the viewing audience do not have.

Update: Jan 2000
I have recently received some new information, from someone who used to work on the show, regarding Misako Koba's bad accent. When they decided to cast an oriental woman in the part there were very few actresses of her background in the country at the time. At the beginning of filming the last series she could hardly speak English at all and the scripts were specially written phonetically for her to read. So I apologise if I sound like I am criticizing, she was doing the best she could under difficult circumstances.
