Worlds Away

Here we meet TIM's close clone brothers and get to see the TP's in an environment different to the Lab. It was revealed during a recent interview with the cast that huge chunks of this story were re-written almost overnight following a swimming accident by Dean Lawrence during which he injured his ankle. So that was not acting, the limp was for real!

This did not detract from the story line but unfortunately gave John the opportunity to express his chauvinistic side once again when he requests that Liz remain in the cave to look after Tyso.

It is also revealed during this story that there are Tomorrow People establishing themselves through out the galaxy on other closed worlds, as well as revealing the bureaucratic nature of the Galactic Federation.

I believe that the term Psionic energy is used here for the first time, but correct me if I am wrong. New powers are revealed here too, especially Tyso's ability to leave his body and Astrally travel to attempt contact with the others. This ability could have been useful in future episodes but like many sci-fi shows developments are conveniently forgotten when the plot calls for a 'no way out' situation.

My favourite scene is at the very end where Timus is still talking about the TP's as they jaunt away. He comments that life for those on Pyri will be far safer than the life of a Tomorrow Person back on Earth.
