This is my all time favourite :) I love every scene from the moment Professor Cawston meets Evergreen playing outside the caravan until John tells Tricia that, "It's not too late, it's not too late." This episode had the greatest influence on me and inspired my interest in parapsychology as a career. Well I almost made it; it is a major hobby! I have an old audio tape of this story recorded by holding the microphone up to the speaker of my television. the editing is not too good and these days the tape is worn, scratched and generally messed up by 25 years of playing. Unfortunately I lost a large section of dialogue between Liz and Colonel Masters when the machine 'ate the tape'. I had to splice it back together as good as I could with sticky tape. My greatest disappointment came last year when I finally managed to see this episode broadcast on the 'Sci-fi Channel'. I could hardly believe it that this scene had been cut too. So time can deteriorate even professional quality tape. <sigh> or maybe what she revealed is just too sensitive to broadcast ;o) |
